ARTSSpring, a month in spring dedicated to the arts in Sandy Springs, would not be complete without a city-wide school talent show!  Show Stoppers, a talent competition for students from Sandy Springs schools, both public and private, will be held on Mother’s Day, May 11, 2008 at 6 pm in the Riverwood High School Theater.  All elementary, middle and high schools in Sandy Springs have been invited to submit entries through the individual schools’ selection processes.

Winners will be selected by both celebrity judges and audience voting.  They need YOU to WIN!  Entrants, which range from singers to a trumpet trio to modern dance, will perform in the Riverwood Theater.  CASH prizes will be awarded to winners and their schools in elementary, middle and high school categories.  Also enjoy American Idol alumnus and Atlanta country/blues recording artist Cory Sellers, plus several celebrity judges.

Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for students, and are available at Whole Foods in Sandy Springs, and at the box office the day of the event.  Riverwood High School Theater is located at 5900 Heards Road, Sandy Springs, 30328.  Don’t miss this amazing gathering of young talent in Sandy Springs!  For more information, contact bonnielaney@bellsouth.net.
